What exactly has changed?
Our protein is now a lupin + fava bean protein blend, instead of just lupin. It is still 100% plant-based, legume-based, with the same tarwi standard as always.
Why this change?
Simple: you loved it. Demand grew faster than our capacity to produce lupin-only protein. Instead of leaving you out of stock, we found a fava bean protein that passed our most demanding test, after literally testing hundreds. Almost none pass the taste and solubility test. This one did.
Will it taste different?
No. We kept the same flavour profile and creaminess: that was the first thing we weren't willing to compromise on. No aftertaste, as always.
Does it still dissolve well?
Yes. Solubility was one of our non-negotiable criteria, and this formula mixes just as well as the previous one: in water, plant-based drinks, or smoothies.
Is it still easy to digest?
Yes. The fava bean protein we have chosen is processed at high temperatures, which inactivates the natural lectins, so it remains smooth and easy to digest.
Is it as nutritious as before?
Yes, and in some aspects, even better. Fava beans surpass lupin beans in 5 out of 9 essential amino acids, with particular emphasis on lysine and leucine (important for muscles). The overall protein quality (PDCAAS) remains the same.
Is it still plant-based and natural?
100%. Legume-based, without artificial ingredients: exactly what you'd expect from us.
Is this change permanent?
For now, this is our formula at least until the end of the year. We will continue to listen to you, and your opinion matters for the next steps.
What if I don't like it?
We genuinely want to know. Give us your honest opinion: we respond to everything. If you're not satisfied, we'll talk to you and resolve it.
I have a subscription. Does anything change?
Your subscription remains the same: you only receive the updated formula. No changes in price or delivery.
